Born in Donegal, Ireland, Paul Caldwell grew up surrounded by music. With a strong musical influence from both sides of his family, well known for traditional and contemporary music. It was only a matter of time until Paul picked up his own guitar and tried his hand at the art form.
At the age of 19, Paul formed his own band, 'Kicked Out of the Nest' in Liverpool, England, playing mostly covers. He began to pursue songwriting, and recorded a couple of singles as part of an early collaboration project. He also played and did some vocal work on a couple of records by local Liverpool folk artists Lizzy Nunnery & Vidar Norheim. This gave him a keen interest in the art of recording. After 5 years of playing at local bars and venues with his band, and independently learning the trade, he decided to make the move across the Atlantic to Vancouver, Canada, for a new life.
Paul is currently playing every weekend in the local pub circuit and music venues around Vancouver. When he's not busy performing, Paul is either writing or in the studio. His first EP, titled 'Post-It Notes', was released on July 8th. Be sure to check it out, you can download it or stream it from most online music outlets.
